8 Position to fill Process Plant Operator
Northern Ontario 7-7 Camp Job
Summary
The Mill Operator is responsible for the safe and reliable operation and basic maintenance of Côté Gold's processing plant circuits. The Mill Operator will work collaboratively with the team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.
Specific roles and responsabilities
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES:
AREA 1:
- Safe and reliable equipment operation.
- • Ensure that in all aspects of the operation, environmental policies and practices are followed keeping
- the preservation of the natural environment a priority.
- • Perform Lock Out and Tag Out procedures on processing equipment as required.
- • Ensure adherence to all pre-operational checks and procedural requirements to safely start-up,
- efficiently operate, and safely shutdown all process equipment.
- • Identify faults, troubleshoot, and report any deficiencies on all equipment.
- • Develop an understanding of all the mill circuits through training, reading, and hands-on experience.
- • Identify maintenance problems and maintain acceptable housekeeping in designated area.
- • Ability to work under pressure and have sound judgement.
AREA 2:

AREA 3:
- Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.
- • Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
- • Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- • Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.
- • Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- • Share best practices and experiences with other operators to promote a strong and successful
- teamwork environment.
- • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our
- communities, the environment, and our shareholders.
- • Mentor and train new team members.
- • Foster and inclusive work environment.
Training and experience
- • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
- • Mill common core and specialty modules are considered an asset.
- • basic computer literacy.
- • Good communication skills (radio, verbal and written).
- • 6 months of mineral processing experience,
- and/or 2 years of milling experience,
- and/or 4 years industrial experience.
Exigences

- • Exercise personal leadership and ability to demonstrate values consistent with Côté Gold.
- 9.0 WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- • Work involves routine exposure to disagreeable conditions.
- • Routine exposure to highly undesirable or disagreeable environmental characteristics.
- • Personal health and safety risks require safety equipment or precautions be followed closely.
- • Wearing of face respirators is a requirement, employees must be clean shaven to ensure a proper
- seal.
- • Some physical effort or considerable sensory demand.
- • Sitting, standing and/or constant movement over modest periods of time (i.e. less than half the
- workday) without choice of action.
- • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects causing modest fatigue.
Profil recherché
- 7.0 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
- • Computer proficiency is an asset.
- • Experience with OSISoft Pi and HMIs is considered an asset.
- • Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- • Sound knowledge of milling fundamentals.
- 8.0 LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
